This work is a contemporary version of the Miyal story, which is part of the Bongsan Mask Dance, a dance drama traditionally performed outdoors. The fan, appearing in many episodes of the story, is used as a motif to express the humorous character of Miyal, and a wide variety of dance steps gives depth to the story.
